Detailed Overview: Once a design has been agreed a £200 deposit is required to allocate a space in my work schedule. Your body measurements will then be taken approximately six months before the wedding date, at which time the deposit needs to be made up to 50% of the total order. A calico fitting will be approximately one month later. Your part-made fitting is then approximately three months before the wedding, this is when the balance of the order will need to be paid. A final fitting takes place approximately one month before the wedding. Bridal gown prices from £600 up to £5,000 (average cost £1,200 to £1,800). Bridesmaids' dresses only taken as part of a bridal package, prices from £300. Mother of bride or groom only taken as part of a bridal package, prices from £300. Dressing On The Day. To relieve some of the stress and nerves, I offer a bridal dressing service for my customers only. Arriving an hour before your wedding time, to steam your dress one last time to get any transport creases out of the dress, then help the bride put her dress on and fasten all those fiddly buttons or detailed lace-up. Make sure everything looks in perfect order just before you walk up the aisle to meet your future husband. If you then wish for me to help check and layout your dress for the photographer during your photograph sessions I can wait through the service and do this for you. (Dress must have been collected by the bride beforehand.) Charges are as follows: One hour dressing service £75 Waiting and photographing time £50 per hour These charges are inclusive of travel up to a ten mile radius of my studio. If outside of this area please ask for a quote. Dry Cleaning. I can offer a very reliable dry cleaning service for your gown after your wedding day. Just arrange to bring your dress back to me as soon after your wedding as is possible (the sooner it is cleaned the better for the dress) and I will transport it to my qualified dry cleaner and collect it for you the following week, ready for you to pick up from me, all perfectly cleaned and pressed ready for you to store in a suitable wedding dress box (this can be provided, please ask for details). Charges are as follows: Satin bridal gown £50 Pure silk gown £75 Bridesmaids' gowns £40 Please note that veils and tulle skirts cannot be cleaned successfully as any cleaning process takes the 'body' out of this fabric and it will hang in a lifeless way. |
