About us

My little business began as a bespoke bridal design studio more than 20 years ago. It has grown from that to include a mix of antique, vintage and one-off  handmade dresses and accessories for the more environmentally concerned.

As an all time lover of anything Victorian through to the forties I began to research my family tree and was fascinated to find many of my ancestors were dressmakers and tailors, which just fueled my passion for collecting antique clothing, sewing items and all manor of ladies accessories.
My collection of beautiful antique ladies accessories is growing fast and can be viewed by visiting our online shop here or our Etsy shop here for a small selection available.

I have been designing and making bridal gowns and special occasion wear for over 20 years and as expected am inspired by the fashions of days gone by when ladies wore beautiful grand silk dresses. But having become aware of the destruction of the environment by the fashion industry I wanted to move away from making dresses that were most likely only going to be be worn once.
I have recently started to acquire a small collection of antique and vintage wedding dresses, Victorian bodices and skirts and a few glamourous 1920's and 30's evening gowns, which I am gradually repairing and reworking to return them to their former beauty suitable for a bride to wear again in modern times.

The gowns I do make now are made from reclaimed or recycled fabrics that would otherwise have ended up in landfill sites. They are hopefully something a little different than you will find on the high street and are all one-offs due to the nature of the reclaimed fabrics and trims I use.

I work from my home studio where my dresses and accessories can be viewed if desired or some can be purchased online here.

My designs are one-of-kind, each one unique, inspired by days gone by.

"I just wanted to say a HUGE thank you for my beautiful wedding dress – it was the star of the show! I got dizzy with all the twirling I had to do to show it off. I absolutely loved wearing it and was loathed to take it off – I must find somewhere else to wear it!"
